To the west of Chakrata lies the "Land of God", Kinnaur of Himachal Pradesh and on the east lies the "Queen of Hills", Mussoorie, of Uttarakhand. For those who love to explore new places, Chakrata is a utopia where one can explore ancient temples and colossal caves. Hanu Mahasu Temple and Lakhmandal temple traces its existence to the legends of the Mahabharata. Budher Caves, Tiger caves and Lakha Mandal Pandav caves are a few which you can explore while your stay. Chakrata is blessed with a few enticing waterfalls, especially the cascading Tiger Falls which is also a benign picnic spot.
